time for a dinner break

It's been a slow day so far. A lot of writer's block and goofing around with Black Sabbath riffs. Although, Dave came over and recorded some more ghetto percussion for And Now The Runners Can Go On a Wet Track In Denver. We also added an organ line. I think this song is pretty much done, but I'm going to try a few layers of vocals and maybe one more organ on it.

We also started the electric guitars for Torrealba! Torrealba! Got the main guitars down for the intro and the body, and put a guitar loop on the intro. Intro needs vocals and whatever else we put on it. Main part needs...everything. I'm having a hell of a time coming up with stuff other than the guitar riff. At least we got some guitars done.

In an attempt to break the block, I'm leaving the rest of Torrealba! until later on. In the meantime, I've tracked the main guitar for the aforementioned sleepy piece, which is going to be called Excerpts From the Hospital Diary. After dinner I plan to spend the rest of the evening working on this song. Hopefully Dave will return with Singer Brett and we can put the vocals down on it (and Torrealba!)

Time for some food.
